DescriptionSkull and mandible in occlusion {Text-figs 2-5), articulated with the axial skeleton except for the missing terminal caudal vertebrae (Text-figs 1, 6). The displaced pectoral and pelvic girdles arc incomplete; of the limbs, only the left femur and a few phalanges are preserved (Text-figs 1, 7-9). The unfused neural arches indicate a juvenile individual, sensu BROWN (1981). Tilt specimen is preserved tbree-dimcnsionally in a calcareous nodule (Text-fig. 1; see Geological setting), broken into several fragments. The fossil was seriously damaged by weathering and subsequent incompetent preparation, in part with acid. As a result, most of the cranial sutures arc hardly visible, and were counterchecked under UV light. Some elements of the post-cranium arc only preserved as external moulds.
