Neanderthal Man - When
the first "Neanderthal Man" was discovered in about 1856, it
was thought to be a true link from ape to man. Though well-known
biologists such as Virchow and many other scientists and medical
authorities since that time have all declared the Neanderthal skull
shows signs of severe rickets (a deficiency disease characterized by
defective bone growth) which explains why it's appearance is slightly
different. |

Since his time we have found many more Neanderthal skeletons, and the
rickets theory has been shown to be false. |

last century which look very similar to the Neanderthal Man skull. |
Citation? That may have
been the case, but finds have shown that such claims are not supported
by the evidence |

been instances where the supposed Neanderthal Man bones were put on
display in museums and it was later discovered the bones were arranged
incorrectly which is what gave it the "hunched" appearance.
When this incorrect arrangement was brought to light, it was still left
